Yes, you read the title correctly. Nikki can’t play! This is not some punishment, she has not been grounded, she is allowed to play. The problem is, she doesn’t know how to play. If me or our son start to horse around and play fight with her, one of us inevitably limps away with a bruise or some other marking. She will tell you that is how they played when she was growing up. Apparently the pride of lions that raised her were a rough bunch. It starts off innocently poking at each other and quickly turns into punching, scratching, and biting. Ok, I admit that the scratching and biting are an exaggeration but she does punch, and she has a another special move that she likes to use. I call this move the finisher, because like the name says it finishes the playing. You might know this move as the boobie pinch. It can turn a grown man into a sniveling baby in mere seconds, and almost always leaves a mark. The kicker is she looks at you after it is all over with those big blue eyes, gives them a slight flutter and says with pure innocence “that didn’t hurt did it?”
Even if you can’t play with her, you have to love her.
